Members of KLSC and CYC have come together with GTB and have available a Sunfish sailing program. Since Memorial Day weekend members of the CYC Sunfish Club have been manning the beach and assisting the youth of the area in learning to sail. 2009 Kentucky Lake Sailing Governors Cup Social

On Saturday evening, the Kentucky Lake Sailing Club hosted a street-style food fair at the Grand Rivers Community Center. More than 90 club members and guests showed up to sample food from four dining tents featuring different cuisine prepared by club cooks. Food themes included Cajun, German, Caribbean and Cincinnati chili. Club cooks also supplied a wonderful variety of tasty desserts. The fair got rave reviews from members and guests.

The Kentucky Lake Sailing Club’s (KLSC) spring distance race participants gathered for the Skippers’ Meeting Friday evening (May 1) at Lighthouse Landing under grim weather prospects of downpours all weekend. This year KLSC introduced a new format to this race. Racing was planned in two legs. Saturday’s race was from Lighthouse Landing to Kenlake marina where racers would have a dinner party, then race the second return leg on Sunday morning.
